Evaluate Cosmo-Local Credit
Cosmo-Local Credit is the current open-source app for accounts, wallets, vouchers, Offerings, Commitment Pools, transfers, and direct Pool swaps. Grassroots Economics also maintains a long-running body of field research and historical public data on community currencies.
Protocol Thesis
Commitment Pooling coordinates vouchers through Pools with published terms, roles, limits, and supported assets. What a voucher represents and how it may be redeemed depend on its issuer and the agreements of the relevant deployment.
Current CLC App
The CLC App provides current tools for creating and managing accounts, vouchers, Offerings, and Commitment Pools, plus transfers and direct swaps through compatible Pools.
Evidence Layer
Historical Sarafu Network records and research datasets provide material for independent study. From 5 July 2023 through 20 July 2025, the Celo snapshot records 26,367 users and 285,197 peer-to-peer exchanges. View the source.
